Stroud
Stone Haven is a modern, fully accessible Supported Living service based in Stroud on the same site as Barn Lodge that is home to six service users who are supported to live as independently as possible by a team of dedicated staff.
Overview
Stone Haven is a large and airy two storey house with a stair lift to the first floor. Each bedroom enjoys fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and has an en-suite WC with sink. Service users share a communal lounge, dining room, kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms/shower rooms which are fully accessible to tenants who may have a physical disability or mobility needs.
Facilities
There is a front and rear garden with raised beds for tenants to be able to participate in gardening should they wish to. SDHFL and Stroud Mencap have partnered with Down to Earth who support our enthusiastic service users to grow their own vegetables Tenants have individual tenancy agreements with Stroud and District Mencap Society, who own the properties.
Local Amenities
Stone Haven is within easy walking distance of Stroud town centre which is a bustling town with plenty going on. There are cafes, charity shops, cinema, pubs, takeaways, markets all within a 5 minute walk and Stroud College and supermarkets are also nearby. There is a bus and train station within easy walking distance to Stone Haven.
