Down to Earth Garden Project

Stroud Homes and Stroud Mencap are delighted to have linked with Down to Earth to embark on a gardening project that will begin with tidying up our gardens and then progress to growing our own produce for use in the homes and if we have a surplus, create vegetable and fruit boxes for others.

As you know we have lovely spacious gardens, many with established fruit trees and we are keen to encourage our service users to utilise these to their full potential with the expertise of Amanda and her staff at Down to Earth.

Down to Earth Stroud support people in growing and harvesting their own fruit and vegetables. Their aim is to increase access to, and availability of fresh, nutritious and healthy food and encourage reconnection with the land. They run several community projects across Gloucestershire.
